Orthodontics in JVC, Dubai

Straighten crowded, gapped or protruding teeth and correct your bite with a DHA-licensed specialist orthodontist — clear aligners (Invisalign & EON), Damon self-ligating braces, traditional fixed and lingual braces, and retainers, all under one roof in Jumeirah Village Circle.

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that moves teeth into a healthier, more even position and corrects the way the upper and lower teeth meet. Beyond a straighter smile, well-aligned teeth are easier to clean, chew more comfortably and place less strain on the jaw joints.

At Sonrisa, treatment is planned and carried out by Dr. Ahmed Ghazal, a Specialist Orthodontist (MScD) licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH), and a certified Invisalign & EON provider. Every plan starts with a full assessment so you understand your options, the timeline and the cost before anything begins.

Your treatment options

We offer the full range of modern and traditional orthodontic appliances, and recommend the option that best fits your case, lifestyle and goals.

Removable & near-invisible

Clear Aligners

Custom-made, transparent trays (Invisalign & EON) that gradually straighten your teeth. Removable for eating and cleaning, and barely visible — a popular choice for adults and teens.

Self-ligating fixed braces

Damon Braces

A modern fixed-brace system that uses a built-in sliding mechanism instead of elastic ties. This applies gentle, continuous force, often means fewer adjustment visits, and makes cleaning around the brackets easier.

Proven & versatile

Traditional Fixed Braces

Reliable metal or tooth-coloured ceramic brackets that handle even complex crowding and bite problems. A time-tested, cost-effective way to achieve precise, predictable results.

Hidden behind the teeth

Lingual Braces

Fixed braces bonded to the inner (tongue-side) surface of the teeth, so they stay completely out of view — an area of specialist training for Dr. Ghazal.

Keeping your results

Traditional Retainers

Once teeth are straight, fixed or removable retainers hold them in their new position. Wearing your retainer as advised is the single most important step in keeping your smile stable for life.

Bite & alignment

Bite Correction

Diagnosis and treatment of overbite, underbite, crossbite and spacing, coordinated with our in-house restorative and surgical team when a case needs more than orthodontics alone.

Your orthodontic journey, step by step

A clear, predictable path from first visit to a stable, confident smile.

  1. Consultation & digital records

A thorough examination with photographs, X-rays and a digital scan or impressions of your teeth — the foundation for an accurate plan.

  2. Diagnosis & personalised plan

Dr. Ghazal reviews your records, explains what is happening and why, and walks you through the recommended appliance, the expected timeline and a clear, fixed quote.

  3. Fitting your appliance

Your clear aligners are issued, or your braces are carefully bonded and activated. You leave knowing exactly how to care for them.

  4. Regular check-ups

Short, scheduled visits (typically every 4–8 weeks) to adjust the appliance or move you to your next set of aligners and keep treatment on track.

  5. Retention & long-term care

Once your teeth are in their ideal position, the appliance is removed and retainers are fitted to protect and maintain your new smile.

Frequently asked questions

What orthodontic treatments do you offer in JVC, Dubai?
We provide the full range of orthodontics: clear aligners (Invisalign and EON), Damon self-ligating braces, traditional metal and ceramic fixed braces, lingual (behind-the-teeth) braces, and both fixed and removable retainers. After your consultation, Dr. Ghazal recommends the option best suited to your case.
How much do braces and clear aligners cost in Dubai?
The cost depends on the complexity of your case and the appliance you choose — clear aligners, Damon braces and traditional braces are priced differently. Rather than quote a misleading figure, we give you a clear, fixed price after your consultation and diagnostic records, so you know the full cost before treatment starts. Flexible payment options are available.
How long does orthodontic treatment take?
Most comprehensive treatments take between 6 and 24 months, depending on how much the teeth and bite need to move. Minor corrections can be quicker, while complex cases take longer. Dr. Ghazal gives you a realistic timeline at your planning visit.
What are Damon braces, and how are they different?
Damon braces are self-ligating fixed braces. Instead of the elastic ties used on conventional braces, each bracket has a small built-in door that holds the wire. This delivers gentle, continuous force, often reduces the number of adjustment appointments, and makes the brackets easier to keep clean.
Are clear aligners (Invisalign or EON) as effective as fixed braces?
For many mild-to-moderate cases, clear aligners achieve excellent results and are far less noticeable. Some complex bite or rotation problems are still treated most predictably with fixed or Damon braces. As a certified provider of both, Dr. Ghazal will tell you honestly which approach suits your teeth.
Do I need to wear a retainer after my braces or aligners?
Yes. Teeth naturally tend to drift back over time, so retainers are an essential part of every orthodontic treatment. We fit fixed or removable retainers once your teeth are straight and explain exactly how and how long to wear them to keep your results stable.
What age is right to start orthodontic treatment?
Children benefit from a first orthodontic assessment at around age 7, when early issues can be spotted. However, there is no upper age limit — healthy teeth and gums can be straightened at any age, and many of our orthodontic patients are adults.
